about
The first time I ever went on tour, I felt so full of creative power, and I wrote this on Elliott Marigold's baritone ukulele. I think I wrote it in a gazebo surrounded by flowers, and then I performed it for as long as it lasted. I've had the stem, recorded on the floor before a house show in Iowa started, for a while now and never did anything with it until now.
Since I'll probably never buy a baritone ukulele (I wish, but where do I find one in Berlin?), you'll have to be happy with this song being a noisy piece of lo-fi art that captures exactly where I was at that moment of time, unaware of what would happen next.
Introspective pop songs with transcendent melodies offer a joyful meditation on staying present in a world that often moves too fast. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 16, 2023
